The weeks have become stressful. With 200+ pages to read each week, I value the little time I get when both happen to be napping. This has become a common occurance...
Feeding the little one while trying to get through some ethics reading. Although I don't tend to smile during these times...stepping back and thinking about how absolutely ridiculous my life is sometimes really does feel like a little thing. In the grand scheme of all of this...these couple of years when I am lucky enough to semi-stay home with the littles, I am thankful that school is able to provide that for me...
Ella was sick this week.
Like really sick.
There was lots of temperature taking. Lots of up-at-nights. Lots of puke.
I'll spare the details.
But in the end a doctors visit was neccessary.
Daddy took her.
So of course there was ice cream after.
That evening, sitting out on the porch and letting her get as messy as she
wanted needed to get it was magical.
And then there is this one.
She is working on crawling. She's working hard on crawling.
She can get on all fours, just can't seem to move herself forward.
This happens at least 3 times a day. She backs herself under the couch. and then screams until someone bails her out.
Daddy came home early one night this week. Just for some snuggles.
I've been making a lot of bread this week. Its starting to be soup weather.
Her kitchen is her favorite place. She is always putting things on trays and bringing them to us. I hope this interest in cooking never goes away.
I'm off for the weekend to play in the woods with some fabulous ladies. We're starting the next generation of book group, and I am thrilled to rejuvenate, hang out with the littlest, and drink wine and catch up with some friends. So I'm (mostly) putting the books down and picking up the knitting needles. After the first month of classes this is just what I need.
