A lot happened in the month of August.
Including my little peanut turning one.
a whole year.
365 days of getting to know our little EllaGirl.
365 of loving the bejeezus out of her.
365 of crying, laughing, pooping, learning, growing.
So what a celebration we had to have!
Ella enjoyed her first ride in her big girl car seat facing the front.
Skywalker and I celebrated making it through our first years as parents.
We ate yummy food...
We wore silly things, and enjoyed the last days of summer with a luau.
We Sucked every hot, sticky minute out of this summer day.
With friends.
And with our amazing, supportive family who helped us through.
All the while the birthday girl enjoyed the attention, took a nap, played in her frilly and fabulous party dress.
And blew out her lone candle on her cake.
She tried some.
But wasn't too sure what she thought.
And we partied, we told stories, and enjoyed celebrating the first year of this amazing life.
Happy Birthday, monkey.
I can't wait to see what next year will bring.
