still giving thanks

Even though the next holiday is quickly approaching, the month of December got away from me with all of the mounds of homework and papers. That is all behind me now, and it is on to preparing for family to arrive and celebrating the close of yet another year.

But when unloading my camera, it was so fun to go back and relive the amazing thanksgiving we spent in Rehoboth basking in the glow of togetherness.

We started the day like every Thanksgiving with the first peppermint mocha of the season and a walk on the beach.

EM couldn't get enough of the sand and the water.

But for pictures, this was the only thing that could keep her happy.

iconic Rehoboth. (and reminicingly enough, it was this very sign that connected me to no less than two residents this summer during CPE.)

lots of food. really good food...

and then it was time to say goodbye to the waves and the sand for a while. EM cried when she left. We knew then that she is definitely a part of L and I.

Next time we return it will be as a family of four.

and that is definitely something to be thankful for.
